To je ale problém jen jedné či dvou funkcí ve specifikaci SpreadsheetML a nikoliv OOXML jako celku. Pokud je to tak zasádní, tak jak je možné, že byl přijat jako ISO standard ODF, který má potíže s jazyky psanými zprava.
