Vydat jednou dvakrát za rok ovladač na starý HW je jen údržba. Ten hardware nikdy nedostane slibované chybějící funkce - které často nefungují dobře ani na novém.
Jak už tu bylo řečeno, Nvidia sama sebe označuje za softwarovou firmu. Zákazníci si nebudou doprogramovávat chybějící funkčnost, jako když si před půl stoletím kupovali mainframe.
