Třeba pro staré lidi, kteří si pustí počíač a hned se jim objeví prohlížeč, který pro ně bude jednodušší než klasický OS?
Ben Francis explains further on the Webian blog: -
“The idea of the Webian Shell project is to replace your computer’s interface with something much simpler, which treats web applications as first class citizens and does away with all the un-necessary clutter.”

But while Chrome OS is a complete operating system, Webian Shell is not. The Webian Shell runs on top of an existing operating system. Webian Shell cannot even control the hardware right now - it cannot control the system volume, network connections, show the battery indicator etc. Although hardware control is planned for a future release of Webian Shell, there is no plan of it becoming a full-blown operating system right now."Snad by stačilo, aby se spustil Firefox automaticky po startu systému, a měli by ± to samý.

mam som stary celeron 733mhz, 128mb ram, 1GB flash. presne ako pises, pre stareho cloveka, skusal som android (super, aj ked trochu bugovy, nevedelo to komunikovat s edge modemom ... nevedeli sme to "supportovat"), linux sme zavrhli tiez (alebo sa to nevliezlo na flash, alebo by sme to nevedeli "supportovat") nakoniec sla flash-ka von, ostal tam 40g disk, XPcka, firefox ...
Neviem si predstavit jednoduhsie riesenie ktore by na takomto HW dokazalo fungovat.
