20% je nejak málo(na desktope by malo AMD prekonať 50%). Tych 20% to sú notebooky.
AMD Reaches 37.5% Global CPU Market Share, Highest in 14 Years
28/09/2020
The PassMark company published a new report that reveals AMD’s market share worldwide, indicating that it is the highest in the last 14 years (Q4 2006; AMD K8 CPUs) reaching 37.5 percent.
If we only focus on desktop computers, the market share is 48 percent. With the launch of AMD Ryzen 3000 the company managed to pass 40 percent to 48 percent.
Regarding laptops, without surprises, market share grew timidly to 20 percent (coinciding with the latest data from Mercury Research, in mid-August, that it had reached 19.9%).
DIY CPU market share in major retail markets around the globe and a clear example we have seen in recent months with market shares
of more than 63 percent in Japan,
90 percent market share in Germany.

Pochybuji, ten Váš zdroj sice mluví o "Global CPU Market Share" jenže to je dost odvážné tvrzení. Citujete zprávu týkající se dat společnosti "PassMark" a přímo na jejich stránkách[1] se dozvíte, že tyto data vznikají z "...made up of thousands of PerformanceTest benchmark results...". To pro mně není ani reprezentativní vzorek pro odhad "Global CPU Market Share"
Ale ani čisla v článku nezodpovedajú predpovediam z finabce.yahoo.com

The analyst noted that Intel’s “transistor challenges are systemic and that TSMC/AMD's transistor lead will extend". As a result, he expects “AMD share gains will accelerate, and that the AMD bull-case will morph from 30% market share to 50% over the next 12-18 months.”

"ipacis said the lead of AMD, and its chip fabricator Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. , over Intel appeared "systemic." Lipacis said he expects AMD share gains to accelerate especially in the server market, with an estimated 30% share over the next two to three years, and 50% in four to five years. In its recent earnings call, AMD said it had just reached 10% share of the server market.

PassMARK beriem.
na yahoo finnace s apíše o posilovaní na trh, čo môžu bzť dve veci
1. počet predaných kusov
2. obrat za predané kusy
Ale aby vznikla disproporcia, medzi obratom a počtom predených kusov, musela by mať AMD väčšiu priemernú predajnú cenu ako Intel. a už tomu sa ťažko verí, tobôž kedy by musela byť 2,5-násobná.
Ešte si to viem predstaviť, keby tou isšlo o počet prevádzkovaných kusov a v tých článkoch o predané kusy v danom období..
