Dear Steven,
I've read your article, and I am really impressed. So you use Linux on servers and on desktops and you even manage to keep ironic. Well, when you are such a pro, I guess you wont have problem to help me out with my problem: I am an artist, photographer, and am dying to use Linux - it provides more programs than Windows after all, its easy to install and its stable.
What I would like to do is some basic photo editing - curves/levels/saturation (something like Photoshop), custom output sharpening for my Epson 2100 printer (something like NIK Sharpener), noise reduction for Pentax *istD RAW files (something like NeatImage) and of course some simply but functional RAW converter (something like C1DSL). I'd like to do some quick printing on Hahnemühle Photo Rag Paper (300g/m2) with the printer I mentioned, Epson 2100 as well. All this has to be done of course in colour managed environment, you know, to get the colours right.
I guess for you, a lover of Linux, it wont take more than couple of seconds to let me help to solve this issue and I'll receive a long list of simple and efficient software which I can use on Linux and get perfectly color matched prints like I do on Windows now.

Toz imbecilni uprdky si muzete nechat pro jina fora, ja bych privital nejaky navrh jak tento problem resit. Bez ironie. A pokud nevite jak na to, tak si s mou anglinou nedelejte trable :-)
